Privacy policy
We take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you use SchuldnerClear, why we process it, and your rights under the GDPR.

Data we process
Guide pages: if you leave your email on a free guide, we store your email address, the guide you viewed, your language (de/en), and the timestamp.
Case intake: on /start you confirm you have Selbstauskunft details ready and give processing consent; we then create an anonymous case with your language and a secure access token (stored as a hash only). Email is optional until you save your case after analysis, join a waitlist, or check out. Unclaimed cases (no email) are deleted after 24 hours of inactivity. On your case page you may enter Schuldnerverzeichnis details from your Selbstauskunft — for example ZenVG court, Aktenzeichen, creditor, Gerichtsvollzieher, Verfahrensnummer, entry date — plus your name and address for the review step. We do not ask you to upload your Selbstauskunft PDF.
Scope waitlist: if your case includes courts we do not yet support, you may join a waitlist with one click. We store your case email, language, and which out-of-scope courts appeared on your case — so we can notify you when coverage expands.
Payments: if you purchase a submission pack, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive payment status and a transaction reference from Stripe; we do not store your card details.
Submission packs: after payment we generate filled court PDFs (and, where applicable, a Creditor letter). We email them and also store them so you can re-download them from your case page until the case is deleted.
-
Purpose and legal basis
We process your data to deliver the service you request: case analysis, submission pack preparation, and related emails (magic link, pack delivery). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary for the performance of a contract or steps at your request before entering a contract.
Guide email captures are used only to send a reminder or next step related to the guide you selected. We do not sell your data or share it for third-party marketing.
-
Hosting and processors
Case data is hosted in Germany (Supabase, Frankfurt region). Transactional emails are sent via Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe (EU). These providers act as data processors on our instructions.
In the current version (V1), we do not use a third-party AI service to process your Selbstauskunft. You enter the relevant details yourself.
-
What we do not do (V1)
We do not ask you to upload your Selbstauskunft PDF. We do not use personal data to train AI models. We do not retain uploaded Selbstauskunft PDFs because upload is not offered in V1.
Filled submission-pack PDFs generated after payment are stored for re-download on your case page for the lifetime of the case (see Retention). That is distinct from keeping an uploaded Selbstauskunft.
If we introduce optional PDF upload in a future version, we will update this policy in advance and name any additional processors (for example an EU-hosted AI provider) before that feature goes live.
-
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and object where applicable. On your case page (via your secure magic link) you can download a machine-readable copy of your case data and permanently delete the case — including stored submission-pack PDFs. You can also contact us using the details in the imprint. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
-
Retention
We retain case data only as long as needed to deliver the service. You can delete your case at any time from your case page (or by contacting us). When our deletion tracker is live, we will also delete case data — including stored submission-pack PDFs and frozen instructions — 30 days after your Schuldnerverzeichnis entry is confirmed deleted, if you have not already requested earlier deletion. Guide email captures are retained until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed for the stated purpose.
